Experience

Founding Engineer — Mechanical & Industrial Design

October 2025 – Present

Tidal Flight – VA based hybrid electric seaplane startup

  • Designed and fabricated robust interactive teaching tools with embedded microprocessors and sensors, simplifying Beta’s all-electric aircraft innovations into user-friendly learning experiences
  • Designed and fabricated a full-scale, investor- and customer-facing flight simulator with a fully integrated cockpit, using NX, CAM, ShopBot CNC, large format 3D printing, and custom PCB-driven controls; engineered structural support for a 6-person occupied load and conducted human-factors analysis per FAA guidelines.
  • Stood up a fully operational workshop and office space from an empty hangar within 2 months of joining.
  • Assisted the team at scale-model flight testing for government CRADA missions, producing process and experience documentation.
  • Produced 40+ refined scale models of Beta’s products in 6 weeks for the CEO use in technical advising and shareholder meetings

Mechanical Design Engineer II & Team Lead

June 2021 – June 2024

Beta Technologies – Vermont based electric aircraft manufacturer

  • Started as Rapid Prototyping & Additive Manufacturing Intern, managing a fleet of 18 3D printers and laser cutters (Prusa, Bambu, Markforged, ULS, Trotec), sustaining 24-hour production and 30+ daily prints while optimizing design workflows and material documentation for engineering teams.
  • Promoted to Team Lead of 5 engineers; engineered and fabricated interactive exhibits integrating microcontrollers, sensors, and custom hardware with retired aircraft components (SolidWorks, Onshape, Arduino) to explain Beta’s all-electric aircraft systems to students, executives, and community partners.
  • Presented exhibits to the board of directors and 10,000+ students; delivered weekly updates in company-wide meetings to 500+ employees.
  • Produced 48 unique polished scale models in 6 weeks for executive briefings and shareholder meetings using 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC, vacuum forming, and packaging design.
  • Implemented Jira ticketing and Confluence documentation workflows, streamlining fabrication requests and increasing cross-team transparency company-wide.
